Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to sign a contract?

There isn’t a contract required for performing a one-time service. We do have contracts for recurring services like preventative pest control treatment.

Are you able to do the job when you come to do the estimate?

We’re able to perform the work the same day upon acceptance of the estimate. It would require pre-treatment preparation.

How long does the entire process take?

The treatment process usually takes about 6-10 hours. You may return home the same day, but expect to be out of your house for 10-12 hours.

Can you get into my attic if it only has a small opening?

Yes, we have a telescoping ladder that allows us access through most all openings.

Is thermal heat technique safe?

Yes, it’s safe for children and pets. It’s environmentally friendly, and no pesticides are used. Conventional pest control treatments require the use of chemicals, which may be applied to mattresses, box springs, bed frames, and other infested places.

How involved is the pre-treatment preparation?

Preparation is minimal. Heat penetrates clothing, bedding, furniture, and most clutter; however, clutter reduction is very important to ensure the most effective results. We ask you to clean up the kitchen, do laundry, vacuum all floors, take out the trash, unplug electronics, and remove smoke detectors beforehand. You may have to remove any heat-sensitive items that are subject to melting, expanding, or bursting. People, pets, and plants should also be removed from the areas to be treated. We provide a Pre-Treatment Preparation Checklist to ensure you’re ready for us.

If we have to schedule a window time of arrival, can you call me when you’re on your way?

Yes, if you can be at your home within 15 minutes of our call.

What if there’s a pest emergency?

We also offer after-hours services for emergencies or to meet certain clients’ special needs.
